Through the kind offer by my friend Moonage, this is my blog. As such, it is a place for me to express my opinions and analysis on subjects I find interesting. Yesterday (March 15, 2008) I encountered a special circumstance that regrettably led to my first censorship action (I hate censorship!). However, a certain individual, having difficulty in commenting on another blog, brought his comment here. After cordially responding to his comment, I also wrote that I would not debate that particular topic here, and that it should be placed where it belonged, on the other blog.

Somehow, although not suprisingly, this individual not only persisted in carrying forward the topic, even challenging my positions, but then, even after being polititely asked to take the discussion elsewhere, persisted again. I promptly deleted his next comment (which I believe went further in challenging me).

That, of course, led this individual to write:

Whatever, dude. I thought more of you. Take care.

Let me make this clear. As I wrote in my apparently much ignored interview with Pakistani Spectator (ignored by their readers, mind you - I believe for its honest views and directness - I conclude “ignored” because there was never any “bump” in readership from Pakistan), I write this blog to please no one but myself. Thus, my final response to this commenter who, today, has a lesser opinion of good’ole Stormwarning…

Stick to my topics and I’ll interact. Insist on debating someone else’s topics, I won’t do it. You may still think whatever you wish. But I have no intention of debating politics here. And I really hate it when someone says the word “dude,” or worse, refers to me as “dude.”  It is a clear sign of ignorance.).

Comments are, of course, welcomed. In fact, they are encouraged.

Guidelines:

1) stay on the topic of the post
2) do not curse me out or call me names
3) do not import issues from other blogs
4) do not threaten me (as one sorry person once did prior to being reported to the “authorities”)
5) probably others later on as they occur

Now, if that isn’t clear enough…well…too bad!
