Is Anyone Watching?

Obama…Palin, ad nauseum. I have written about it for months. Maybe now, as Pakistan devolves and Afghanistan unravels, perhaps, people will see.
Pakistan has warned the US that if our troops cross the border in pursuit of al Qaeda/Taliban, it will open fire.
Pakistan’s military has ordered its forces to open fire if U.S. troops launch another air or ground raid across the Afghan border, an army spokesman said Tuesday.
The orders, which come in response to a highly unusual Sept. 3 ground attack by U.S. commandos, are certain to heighten tensions between Washington and a key ally against terrorism. Although the ground attack was rare, there have been repeated reports of U.S. drone aircraft striking militant targets, most recently on Sept. 12.
Try to forget who is running for VP right now. Focus on the top spot. Oh sure. John is old(er). But who is wiser?
Head of the JCoS, Admiral Mullen has assured Pakistan that the US will respect Pakistan’s sovereignty.
Are you watching? Or are “you” so caught up in a debate comparing the qualifications of a candidate for Vice President to those of a candidate for President, that you are distracted and not seeing World events, perhaps more important, unfold?

But Palin is hot.
Yeah?, So?? What’s next??? “Can she cook?” Or how about a sequel to Anne Heche’s “Men in Trees?” Being an attractive woman doesn’t make her incompetant. I find the argument against Gov. Palin as VP being unprepared to be President in case McCain dies or is incapacitated to be ludicrous considering who McCain is actually running against. An inexperienced local politician who had to beat Allan Keyes for the Senate seat (not hard). So, would you rather take a chance that an “old man” can stay healthy for four years or someone with alot less experience who is also null and void about foreign policy? And telling me that Joe Biden is experienced in foreign policy (which he is) only tells me that the Democrats nominated the wrong candidate.
Whoa big guy! While my statement was true it was also a dash of sarcasm.
From the interviews I’ve watched Miss Sarah is an intelligent lady glowing with enthusiasm and optimism. But is she ready to possibly assume CIC duties? I did a post on this over at my place that essentially says for me it comes down to taking a risk that McCain will live as long as his rather spry mother. Palin is a quick study, but she needs more time.
You’re right about Obama–he’s on the wrong end of the ticket. But like McCain having to pick Palin because he would have lost with Pawlenty or Romney, Obama had to pick someone with more experience to solve his inexperience. He had to pick a white person. And he couldn’t pick Hillary. So here we are.
I know it was saracsm AC. I thought it was obvious that my response was also playing with the stereotyping that is going on. At the same time, I saw a flash of an interview on Fox where some woman from Bloomberg said that the only reason people are making a stink about Sarah Palin is that she has tits instead of the other “hangy down thingy” that the “other candidate” has.
That’s rather ridiculous.
Ridiculous = my comment or the “hangy down” part comment from the Bloomberg lady?
The hangy down thing, of course.
