Ballmer in Budapest Gets Egged

The Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer was egged by a “disenchanted” student while making a speech on entrepreneurship at Corvinus University of Budapest. As you watch the video, you will see that this Hungarian protester has a “micro” soft toss and see the normally out front MSFT CEO cower behind the lectern to avoid the chicken droppings.
The egg-tossing was in an apparent protest to get Microsoft to give back money to the Hungarian people.
After dodging the eggs, Ballmer shrugs, smiles and quips, “It was a friendly disruption” and the auditorium breaks into laughter. Ballmer then rubs his chin and says, “That broke my train of thought.”
The protester wore a shirt with “Microsoft = Corruption“ emblazoned across the back.

[EDITED]
Hmm. Sounds like you’re up for a blogging war. I tell you what. We’ll give you more rope. Just let us know when to jerk that rope tight.
No blogging war Steve. There are ways to make a point without being disrespectful. As before, you are “edited.” BTW, your comment, “We’ll give you more rope. Just let us know when to jerk that rope tight” could easily be interpreted as a threat. Its a very good policy not to play with someone who you don’t know.
Again, disregard. I just posted on your other thread but it isn’t showing up. You are probably on guard, screening posts. I’ve been there and done that before.
What’s this racket about Moonage webdream? It sounds like we’ve got some musical commonalities. That is a reference to David Bowie if I am not mistaken.
We (Moon and I) just moved to a new server…there was a security problem with the old one and we were actually down and out for about 3 days last week during the transition. All comments are being automatically screened until I can figure out how to white list people who I know (like Debbie and Layla and AC and a few others who read and comment here regularly).
But as I mentioned, Moon and I take security very seriously…very.
This blog site actually has 5 blogs…4 are Moon’s. He set me up on his server almost 3 years ago. He and I have been friends since 2001.
The Internet has led us to being more secure than ever before. That’s because the medium is not as secure as we’d like it to be.
The net has also opened up new doors in the world of psychology. Since we are missing the human element but can only communicate via this method, I think this is why some people get overtly reactive at times over what is said back and forth, as in our case, so I don’t blame you at all for doing this.
However you seem to have a lot in common with the way I think, this is why I am coming back to see what you’re saying. It’s all good, keep up the fine work.
Steve, I don’t actually think that I overtly did anything. As I said above, the new server is automatically tossing everything into the spam bin and I’m having to allow (de-spam) commenters from people that I know. Actually, I don’t care who comments (even if they disagree with me) as long as they don’t curse or threaten me.
I appreciate that you’ve returned. Actually, I’m gald about it.
As for your observation about the lack of human contact in Internet communication, you are dead on target. Too many people however, don’t recognize that or control their emotions when they’re on line.
